NOTICE OF LOCATION AND DESIGN APPROVAL LOWNDES COUNTY P. I. NUMBER 0016283 Notice is hereby given in compliance with Georgia Code 22-2-109 and 32-3-5 that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the Location and Design of this project. The date of location and design approval is: January 30, 2024 The proposed project will construct a four-lane overpass on St Augustine Rd over the CSX Railroad partially within the City Limits of Valdosta and in Lowndes County approximately 0.22 miles south of US 221/US 84/SR 38/West Hill Ave. Savannah Ave on the south side of CSX will be re-routed to accommodate the bridge and provide access to properties. An offsite detour will be utilized for truck traffic and an onsite detour will be utilized for non-truck traffic during construction. The project is in GMD 663, Land District 11, and Land Lots 30 and 31.
